Step 1: Utilize the Cloud
Subscription of PlayStation Plus helps you play online but there is another feature of this subscription which is known as Plus Online Storage which is a form of cloud locker for all your earlier game saves.
This type of feature can be quite useful for you and help you in several different ways. First of all, this helps in backing up your valuable saves, secondly, it will also mean that you will be able to play your favorite games across different PS4 systems and lastly, this is the ideal solution for transferring older PS3 saves into your new PS4.
To accomplish this task you will have to turn on your older PS3, move to XMB menu and then from there over to Game column and finally choose the Saved Data Utility.
After that, you will have to move into any of the listed games, click on the triangle button and select the copy command. A pop-up will show up to display the online storage folder that will be used for this purpose and this is the location where the file (save as well as the profile files) will be saved.
